Volunteer Florists & Table Decorators — Make Our First-Sunday Tables Feel Special

A thoughtfully set table can say, “We’re glad you’re here,” before a meal is ever served.

The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen is seeking volunteer florists, floral designers, and table decorators who would like to provide flowers or table décor for our first-Sunday community meal events in Garland.

We provide free, freshly prepared meals and restaurant-style hospitality to people experiencing food insecurity and neighbors in need. We want our guests to walk into a space that feels welcoming, beautiful, and prepared especially for them.

We’re inviting creative people and local businesses to help bring that feeling to our tables.

WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

• Donate fresh floral arrangements or simple centerpieces.

• Provide coordinated table decorations for an upcoming meal.

• Loan reusable décor for an agreed-upon event.

• Arrange donated flowers into centerpieces.

• Help place and style the décor before guests arrive.

You may contribute flowers, décor, design time, or a combination of these. We’ll discuss what you can provide and agree on the plan before each event.

OUR EVENT SCHEDULE

Community meals take place on the first Sunday of each month in Garland. We welcome volunteers who would like to support one Sunday, occasional events, or an ongoing schedule. You do not have to commit to every month.

HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER

Our team will provide the table count, event details, setup window, and any theme or color preferences in advance. Designs should leave comfortable room for meals and conversation and keep guests’ views of one another open.

Delivery, setup, and the collection of any loaned items will be coordinated ahead of time.

This is an unpaid volunteer and in-kind contribution opportunity. You do not need to decorate the entire room to make a meaningful difference.

Location and time commitment

In person in Garland, Texas. Events take place on the first Sunday of each month.

Preparation can take place on your own schedule, with delivery and any setup completed during an agreed-upon window before meal service. One-time, occasional, and recurring participation are welcome.
