    Description

Nosreme Baltimore is a grassroots, Black-led arts organization building an international artist residency and global exchange program rooted in Baltimore. We support emerging artists through public art, cultural exchange, and community-centered programming. In 2025–2026, we are launching our first Baltimore↔Rotterdam international artist exchange pilot and preparing a major public arts project honoring the legacy of the Negro Baseball League.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented grant writer to support upcoming submissions — a mix of full proposals and letters of interest. You will be working directly with the Executive Director (who is currently managing all grant writing alone) to draft, refine, and submit compelling materials on a tight timeline.

    Scope of Work

You will help prepare the following:

    • Grant applications or letters of interest
    • Narrative drafting
    • Rewriting/refining drafts provided
    • Light research to align language to funder priorities
    • Compiling requested attachments and supporting documents
    • Ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with our mission
    • Quick turnaround edits when needed

We have a clear list of which grants we are applying for — you will primarily help draft and strengthen narratives.

    Our Organization & Projects

    We are currently focused on:

    • Launching an international artist exchange pilot (Baltimore ↔ Rotterdam)
    • A public art project honoring a Negro Baseball League team (2025–26)
    • Building a long-term international artist residency program in Baltimore

We center equity, community storytelling, and opportunities for Black emerging artists.

    Ideal Candidate

    We are seeking someone who:

    • Has nonprofit grant writing experience
    • Can work efficiently on multiple deadlines
    • Understands arts, culture, community development, or international exchange
    • Has strong storytelling and narrative development skills
    • Is comfortable collaborating in an iterative process
