    Description

    Who We Are

Bedrock Health Group is a 501(c)(3) healthcare organization focused on building stronger administrative, compliance, and operational infrastructure for healthcare providers. Our work is designed to help providers improve readiness, maintain continuity, navigate complex administrative environments, and strengthen long-term sustainability. Bedrock supports provider access, ongoing operations, administrative recovery, and mission-aligned support for organizations serving communities with real healthcare access needs.

    What This Position Is For

Bedrock Health Group is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator (Volunteer) to support the management, maintenance, and security of our internal systems and IT infrastructure. This opportunity is designed for individuals with hands-on systems administration experience and familiarity with ITIL frameworks who want to contribute to a healthcare-forward mission in a regulated nonprofit environment.

This is not an entry-level opportunity. We are looking for someone who understands IT service management, system security, user access controls, and the operational demands of maintaining technology infrastructure within a compliance-conscious environment.

    Position Summary

The Systems Administrator will support the management and maintenance of Bedrock's internal systems, platforms, and IT infrastructure. This includes overseeing user access and permissions, supporting system security and compliance, maintaining internal tools and software environments, and applying ITIL best practices to ensure reliable, efficient, and secure IT operations across the organization.

This role is centered on internal systems and infrastructure and does not involve direct client, patient, or provider-facing responsibilities, nor access to protected or personally identifiable information.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to apply their systems administration expertise in a regulated healthcare nonprofit environment while contributing to a mission-driven organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the management and maintenance of Bedrock's internal systems, platforms, and IT infrastructure
    • Manage user accounts, access controls, roles, and permissions across internal tools and platforms
    • Apply ITIL frameworks and IT service management best practices to internal systems operations
    • Support system security, endpoint protection, and compliance hygiene across the organization
    • Assist with software installation, configuration, updates, and platform maintenance
    • Help develop and maintain internal IT documentation, system records, and configuration guides
    • Support incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution of internal system issues
    • Assist with backup management, data protection, and business continuity processes
    • Help identify system vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
    • Support the onboarding of internal users to organizational tools and platforms
    • Contribute to special projects tied to Bedrock's systems development and long-term technology strategy

    What You Will Gain

    • Hands-on systems administration experience within a healthcare-focused nonprofit
    • Exposure to IT service management, ITIL frameworks, and systems operations in a regulated environment
    • Practical experience managing internal tools, user access, and security compliance
    • Opportunity to strengthen technical, documentation, and IT service management skills
    • Resume-building experience relevant to systems administration, IT management, healthcare IT, nonprofit technology, and compliance infrastructure
    • Mentorship and exposure to strategic healthcare development and operational infrastructure work
    • Experience that supports preparation for ITIL certification or other IT service management credentials

    • Strong understanding of system security, endpoint protection, and compliance best practices

    • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate system records and configurations
