    Description

Senior UX Researchers to spearhead user research efforts with a focus on understanding the needs of vulnerable and underserved populations, as well as our internal staff for products that support our infrastructure. This includes developing creative, resourceful approaches to recruit participants and conduct research when time, access, and budget are limited. You will work to uncover the root causes of user problems and translate those findings into actionable insights. UX Researchers always look for empircal evidence using a scientific approach and partner closely with UX designers and product managers to ensure user needs directly inform product requirements and development priorities. Expertise in usability testing, mixed methods, and interviews are a must. Senior UX Researchers support entry level UX researchers.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

Thank you for reaching out. I wish I could use all of the many excellent applicants in exactly the way that they would like, but as with everything, there are limits. We can only fill those positions listed on the website (see below). If you don't see an opening that exactly suits you, consider a role that could support career success.

If you are rejected for the opening you select, you can email the volunteer.coordinator@keelworks.org to suggest an alternate choice.

Even if there isn't a slot that suits you, I am committed to helping you. So read on.

    Conditions to participation: You are

    • Ready to start at the time of application (or at least within the week).
    • Willing to commit to at least three months.
    • Willing to work at least 10 hours a week (20, for those on OPT) .

NOTE: OPT participants will need confirmation of participation for the portal AFTER you leave.

If you are ready to start, apply on our website. Then after applying, read the While you wait section before reading The KeelWorks Foundation (below).
