Filmmaker Relations Manager (and team members) for the DCIFF Annual Forum, February 11-16

Immediate NeedFilmmaker Relations Manager for the DCIFF Annual Forum, February 11-16

Looking to schmooze with indie filmmakers? Are you great at organization? Then we need you to join our team for the 2026 DC Independent Film Festival Annual Forum, the longest-running film festival in DC. We’re in immediate need of a staff volunteer to serve as our Filmmaker Relations Manager and lead a small team whose sole purpose is to support our filmmakers before, during, and after the festival. As the FR Manager, you will DCIFF's main point of contact for all filmmakers, and your goal is to make sure our filmmakers have a smooth and exciting experience at the Forum.

You MUST BE available throughout the whole DCIFF Annual Forum from February 11-16.

As the unofficial filmmaker “wrangler,” this position involves:

    • Gathering all film assets from the filmmakers
    • Assist filmmakers with travel plans and scheduling
    • Set up tours and events for filmmakers
    • Plan and create filmmaker swag bags
    • Helps to keep information up to date by filtering any changes from Filmmakers to Susan
    • Help plan and run the filmmaker lounge
    • Assist with getting sponsors for filmmaker events, lounge, and swag bags
    • Manage reimbursements

We’re a small but powerful team that works closely together to create an amazing experience for our filmmakers and audiences. DCIFF prides itself on being a filmmaker-focused festival, and we want the filmmakers to feel special while here. The position requires excellent organization skills, quick follow-up, clear and easy communication, and a willingness to be “on call” during the festival to assist filmmakers.

Being a long-term Staff Volunteer has great perks, too — full access to all festival screenings, events, and seminars, opportunities to meet filmmakers, a job credential on our website, and more. We look for enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to work independently as well as with the team.
