Black Urban Farmers Association (BUFA)

We are an alliance of farmers who have united behind the cause of wanting a healthier, affordable way to access fresh produce. Based in the heart of California’s Central Valley, BUFA aims to combat the barriers that separate urban communities from access to fresh, real, and whole food.

Black Urban Farmers Association (BUFA) was established in 2015 by a group of 12 people and countless supporters, all of whom brought their dedication and passion to positively impact change. These individuals had an unwavering desire to grow and make available healthy, all natural food to the local community.

The Black Urban Farmers Association is dedicated to increasing access to fresh, healthy food in underserved communities. Through sustainable farming and community-driven programs, we are building a future rooted in wellness, education, and cultural heritage.
