In my role as Volunteer Manager, I work with a fantastic group of volunteers to bring about a range of impactful projects. In my spare time, I likesto knit, read, and be in nature.

Hi there! I’m the Director of Business Development at Idealist, where I’ve been fortunate to help grow our mission since 2015 by building partnerships, launching new products, and fostering collaborations. My background spans tech, entrepreneurship, and public service, and I’m deeply committed to using technology for social good. I also serve on tech advisory boards at CUNY and the board of Opportunity to Restore, supporting women and girls impacted by incarceration. Previously, I served as an elected official in Stamford, CT, and have launched ventures in fashion, fitness, consumer goods, and real estate. At Idealist, I have the privilege of working as a Community Support Associate. This is my first time working in the non-profit sector, and I am enjoying every moment of it. Before Idealist, I worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years. Helping other people brings me great joy and satisfaction. When I am not at work, I am enjoying nature, listening to music, hanging out with my wife, and watching TV.

I'm happy to be a member of the Idealist team as a Community Support Associate. Although I started my career in the science and healthcare industries, making the jump over to the non-profit sector has been a rewarding and overwhelmingly positive experience. In my spare time I enjoy nature, photography, and spending time with my wonderful husband.

At Idealist I am part of the Idealist Days Organizing Team. I help with the coordination of Idealist Day events in the NYC area and abroad. I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY (proud native!). My background includes 10+ years working in the nonprofit sector and education including doing administrative work, case management and college counseling for high schoolers. Inspired by the goal of connecting people to make positive changes where they live and the world, I joined Idealist and am happy to be a part of this great community. When I’m not in the office, I am at home with my sons and husband enjoying a Yankee game, watching my fav Netflix shows, taking a cycling class, reading or roaming NYC for some fun time activities.

I was born in Oaxaca, Mexico, the most colorful and diverse place I've ever known, which inspires me to find the differences that make us special. I majored in Communication for Development and Social Change, and I have worked on Gender and Community transformation issues in the public and private sectors. As a Community Support and Communications Associate for Spanish Speakers at Idealist, I'm exploring a new and exciting facet of my career.

I think that the world is a better place because theater, food, dogs, books, places to travel, and my amazing family exist!

Connecting with people, ideas and resources to make the world a better place is not just my job, it is simply who I am and how I choose to interact with others. I serve the Idealist community in Spanish speaking countries from my hometown in Madrid, Spain.

Creating content to inspire people to imagine, connect and act, building relationships for future and meaningful partnerships, providing support to our community, and managing our social media channels, are some of the hats that I were every day.

When I am not working, traveling and learning about diversity in the world is something that I deeply enjoy. Besides that, you can find me experimenting with all kinds of handicrafts from ceramics to watercolors to how to create a podcast, all just for fun.

(they/them) I came to Idealist in 2012 with a background in political campaigns, fundraising, advocacy, and higher education. Now, as the Director of Audience Success, I'm laser-focused on nonprofit job seekers and their needs, advocating for them internally in programming, marketing, and product decisions. When I’m not at work, I’m writing or spending time with my boisterous kiddo.

I oversee the content and resources we share at Idealist to help organizations, prospective grad students, and job seekers have an impact in their personal and professional lives. In my spare time, I love to read, cook, and explore New York's restaurant scene.

I'm excited to bring my work helping leaders of volunteers streamline the work that goes into recruiting volunteers to Idealist. I'm a big believer in designing meaningful work for volunteers, and creating connections between volunteers and an organization's mission. I'm a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, and when I'm not leading trainings or writing blog articles you can find me raising foster kittens!

I've been in the nonprofit world for a long time and joined the Idealist Team with a focus on helping organizations find the volunteers they need and to help individuals find a great place to volunteer. I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area and when not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, live music, and baseball.  

I began my social-impact career at Idealist over 10 years ago, starting out as an intern supporting one of our event programs. Fast forward to today, and I am the Head of Client and Audience Success. I lead the team dedicated to Idealist's core service: connecting and serving the needs of hiring organizations and social-impact job seekers.

Outside of work I’m focused on a new hobby: road cycling. Always wear a helmet!

After using Idealist as a volunteer, job seeker, hirer, and Idealist Days participant, I'm thrilled to join the Idealist team! As Director of Special Projects, I support the Executive Director and team on a range of initiatives aimed at fostering more connected, engaged communities. With a background in NYC-based philanthropy and nonprofit consulting, I spend much of my time listening, project managing, and elevating the great work of those around me.

Outside of work, I’m a huge fan of giving circles (which help groups of people pool their funds and collectively donate to great causes), block parties, Prospect Park, and the musings and guitar strums of my two-year-old.

As the Community Support Manager, I lead and guide our Support team to ensure every user feels welcomed, supported, and valued. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our cat and dog, catching up on my favorite true crime podcasts. and exploring the outdoors. 

I am from Ecuador, and 10 years ago I worked with Idealist from Argentina. I am happy to be back with the organization since 2019.

I am a sociologist and I have always worked in the development sector, especially on issues related to children's rights and the environment . Currently, I am the supporting Idealist's community building efforts in Latin America and Spain. I am in charge of supporting our users and organizations in the region; feeding useful content to the Idealist site in Spanish; and developing alliances and partnerships to enhance the positive impact of organizations and civic initiatives.

I am also an instructor of women's self defense, and I love plants!

Timing truly is everything. My journey with Idealist began as a volunteer experience, and I quickly became captivated by the organization's meaningful work. At the same time, I found myself ready for a change from my long-standing corporate role. The stars aligned, and I made the leap into a career and sector that align with my values. Today, I’m proud to serve Idealist in a dynamic External Relations role, and I couldn’t be more fulfilled.

Outside of work, I'm an ardent activist for animal rights and related causes, and I’m always seeking new ways to make an impact. I thrive on travel, stay active through indoor cycling, and get my adrenaline fix by attending live sporting events. I’m always on the hunt for deliciously creative vegan dishes, whether at plant-based spots or traditional restaurants that offer exciting plant-forward options.

Product Manager by day, amateur carpentress and food enthusiast by night. In a former life, I owned a food business and spent my weekends vending at farmers markets across NYC. Whether it be digital, edible, or with wood, I've always enjoyed building functional things and problem solving. At Idealist, I love collaborating with many clever minds on thoughtful projects and sharing delectable meals together.

At Idealist, I engage idealists around the word to support them & their communities in their on-the-ground efforts to make a difference. I love connecting like-minded and like-hearted people from different backgrounds to find creative solutions to common problems. Before coming to Idealist, I worked at TED conferences, growing the TEDx community and keeping the TED brand consistent across different cultures and interpretations.

When I'm not actively talking with someone halfway around the world, I'm busy traveling somewhere halfway around the world :)

I grew up in Orlando, FL or "The City Beautiful" as people like to call it. Before coming to Idealist, I spent my days playing trombone in symphony orchestras, punk, ska, and hip-hop bands, and with the Tubafours at Walt Disney World. At Idealist, I keep the books well groomed and oversee all aspects of the organization's financials. Outside the office you can find me playing the occasional 'bone gig, spending time with my lovely family, or perfecting the art of smoking meat in the backyard.

I’ve always believed that the more you focus on helping other people, the more you end up helping yourself. After many years in volunteer coordination, and exploring roles in finance and patient care, my own journey brought me to my current role at Idealist, where I can use everything I've learned along the way in a meaningful way! I really enjoy the daily challenges of problem-solving, learning new things, and supporting our incredible Idealist team with the tools they need to keep Idealist thriving.

I grew up figure skating, and dancing in South Africa, but these days, you’ll usually find me on our small holding. I’m often outside wrestling with fences, planting veggies, or earning blisters fighting an endless battle against grass. To recover, I love painting, reading, dreaming of traveling across the rest of Africa, and spending quality time with my family and our beloved floofs.

I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado and spent many years volunteering with my father at a local non-profit organization. I have always been interested in the work done by non-profits and other social impact organizations, but worked in a variety of other sectors before coming to Idealist. My previous professional experiences include everything from searching for hawk nests, to teaching music courses, to providing customer support for telemedicine patients. As a Community Support Associate at Idealist, I have the pleasure of assisting both organizations and individuals within our community. In my free time you will find me hiking, camping, traveling, playing Balinese gamelan, or spending time with my human and furry family members.
