We are a Maryland-based online business and blog that promotes green living through adopting a healthier lifestyle, food gardening, and minimizing your exposure to harmful chemicals. Founded and operated by a Ph.D. and professor at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Green & Prosperous offers free and paid products as well as a number of tips and tools to empower consumers to become advocates for healthy living and responsible commerce. We also do advocacy work for small farmers and environmental groups. We have also been active in promoting the interests of farmers of color and the communities they serve, in part by highlighting the challenges they face and the ways in which ordinary people can help sustain their enterprises and work.
