According to the Pew Research Center, immigrants make up 15.4% of the U.S. population but are overrepresented among people experiencing food insecurity, housing insecurity, and poverty.

To serve a group of people that is often excluded from accessing social benefits like Medicaid and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), nonprofits have stepped up.
