    Provide residents and visitors with diverse open space, parks, beaches and community forest resources, creek restoration and water quality enhancements and enrich people's lives through a broad array of recreation and community servies.

    About Us

    The Parks and Recreation Department manages a diverse and unique park and recreation system including nearly 2,000 acres of parkland encompassing 60 developed and open space parks, beaches, recreation and sports facilities and community forest. The Creeks Restoration and Water Quality Improvement Program implements clean water and restoration projects citywide.

    Volunteer opportunities include special projects, events and public outreach campaigns. We look forward to working with you.
