The
USAID-funded John Ogonowski and Doug Bereuter Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) Program sends
volunteers who are U.S. citizens and green card holders on short-term
assignments to address the needs of agribusinesses, farmers and support
organizations. Since 1987, Land O'Lakes International Development has fielded more than 1,300
volunteers — including nearly 150 of our own staff and cooperative
members — to 27 countries through the F2F Program.
To improve market access for producers, food processors and exporters,
along with ensuring that safer foods reach markets, Land O’Lakes is
currently leading an $8 million Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) program under a
Leader with Associates (LWA) award in
the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. We are mobilizing 190
volunteers to complete 270 technical assignments, which are designed to
enhance both access to finance and food safety and quality, while promoting environmental
sustainability.
We are currently seeking additional volunteers. If you would like to
gain international work experience, offer expertise to those in need,
and see a new part of the world, why not donate your time? As the
implementer for F2F in the MENA region, Land O’Lakes takes care of all
travel arrangements and expenses relating to the assignment.
