About Us
Alachua County Library District is an independent special district and the sole provider of public library services to approximately 271,000 citizens in Alachua County, serving urban and rural communities through 12 branch locations, two bookmobiles, and multiple deposit collections. Its goal is to provide all community members with free, open and equal access to education, information, and entertainment. The Library District’s mission is to build a better community by creating opportunities to participate, connect, and discover.
