  • Mission

The mission of the Board on Aging and Long Term Care is to advocate for the interests of the state's long term care consumers, to inform those consumers of their rights, and to educate the public at large about health care systems and long term care.

    About Us

The Board on Aging and Long Term care consists of three programs: Long Term Care Ombudsman, Volunteer Ombudsman Program and the Medigap program. Our programs are charged by Wisconsin Law to work to protect the interests of citizens of this state who are aged 60 and over

The Board on Aging and Long Term Cares' Volunteer Ombudsman Program is celebrating 30 years in 2024! We are an extension of the Long Term Care Ombudsman program. Our volunteers are trained to advocate for residents in their long term care facility or empower the resident to resolve their concerns or issues.
