Senior Advocates needed in Marathon County, WI

If you enjoy engaging with older adults, this opportunity could be perfect for you! We are looking for volunteers to advocate for and improve the lives of seniors living in long term care facilities in Marathon County and surrounding communities. Volunteer advocates make weekly unannounced visits to a designated nursing home or assisted living facility. They observe general conditions, meet with residents, educate them about their rights and empower residents to resolve concerns on their own or advocate for them with their permission. Our volunteers are friendly visitors on a mission of advocacy! Training and materials are provided, and ongoing support is always available. This opportunity is flexible and visits are 1-2 hours in duration and can be made any day of the week between 8am-8pm.
