Oregon State Capitol

  • About Us

The Visitor Services Volunteer Program at the Oregon State Capitol has been in existence since 1985. We currently have more than 30 volunteers. Visitor Services Volunteers support public access to their democracy, learning, and creating a welcoming non-partisan atmosphere.

Capitol tour guides lead groups from 4th graders to foreign dignitaries, sharing the history of the Capitol and informing guests how they may become involved in the legislative process.

The information desk greets, directs, and provides information to visitors.

Capitol Store volunteers assist in the retail shop.

Volunteers also assist with special events including Oregon's Birthday Celebration, Cherry Blossom Day, Asian and Pacific Islander Day, Multicultural Day, Oregon's Bounty, Holidays at the Capitol, and more. Volunteers may help with a single event or provide ongoing assistance. To learn more visit: oregoncapitol.com/volunteer
