  • About Us

Philadelphia's 20 Community Schools aim to remove barriers to learning and support the success of each student, inside and outside the classroom. Our in-school Coordinators form partnerships to expand learning and workforce opportunities, integrate health and wellness resources, and build stability for students, families, and neighbors. Community Schools are supported by the City of Philadelphia - Mayor's Office of Education, the School District of Philadelphia, and strategic community partnerships.

Volunteers fill crucial gaps by handing out free groceries, celebrating students at special events, walking students to school, running afterschool clubs, tending to community gardens, and so much more! Get involved as a Community Schools Volunteer today!
