    James A. Garfield was the 20th United States President. In 1831, he was born in a log cabin in what is now the Village of Moreland Hills, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The original birthsite is preserved as a public park where a replica of the boyhood cabin was erected. It is our goal to preserve this historic site and continue to educate visitors of all ages free of charge.
