How do I purchase an Idealist Annual Membership?

You can purchase the Idealist Annual Membership directly from your organization’s Dashboard! 

You'll need to be an administrator of a US-based nonprofit or government agency in order to purchase a membership. Check out how to become an administrator! If your organization doesn’t have an account yet, find out how to add your organization

Follow the steps below to purchase a membership:

  1. Log in to Idealist and click your name in the upper right corner. Then, select your organization’s name from the dropdown list. You will be taken to your organization’s Dashboard.
  2. Click “Become a Member” from the menu on the left, then click the blue “Join” button. 
  3. You’ll be led to your cart where you can pay by credit card or check. Membership benefits will be activated when payment is fully processed. 

Please note the Idealist Annual Membership is nonrefundable.

Renewing a Membership

To renew a membership, head to your organization’s Dashboard and click “Membership Benefits” from the menu on the left. Click the blue “Renew” button and you’ll be led to your cart to complete the checkout process. 

For uninterrupted membership, you can renew up to 30 days in advance! Your renewed annual membership will begin immediately after your previous membership expires.
