    Description

    The Choice is managing an immediate contract opportunity for our amazing client, a nonprofit that supports disaster relief and impacted communities.

    This position will support the systems, data, reporting, and prospect research functions that help drive the organization's fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a nonprofit development or fundraising department and be comfortable working with CRM data, reports, prospect information, and fundraising processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of fundraising, data, research, and systems and is interested in helping a fast-paced development team improve the way it manages and uses information.

    Position Detail

    • Schedule: Full-time; hybrid with one day per week in the DC office. The other days will be remote
    • Start Date: As soon as possible
    • Contract position with potential for consideration for the permanent position

    Qualifications:

    • 2–4 years of experience within nonprofit development, fundraising operations, advancement services, prospect research, or a related area
    • Previous experience working with a fundraising CRM; Salesforce experience strongly preferred
    • Experience with Salesforce NPSP or Nonprofit Cloud is a plus
    • Familiarity with fundraising and donor data, including donors, gifts, prospects, and fundraising portfolios
    • Experience conducting prospect research and synthesizing information for internal use
    • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or similar platforms is a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting the management and accuracy of donor and prospect information within Salesforce
    • Auditing fundraising reports and dashboards to ensure data is accurate and consistent
    • Running and modifying Salesforce reports and filters based on existing templates
    • Assisting with the management of fundraiser portfolios and portfolio assignments
    • Conducting targeted prospect research, including more in-depth research requests to support frontline fundraisers
    • Identifying data discrepancies and independently researching potential causes and solutions
    • Supporting data quality, database maintenance, and ongoing cleanup efforts
    • Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
    • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of online fundraising campaign pages, particularly during periods of increased organizational activity
    • Using project management tools and established workflows to track assignments and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
    • Collaborating with development and fundraising colleagues to understand their data and research needs
    • Supporting additional fundraising systems and development operations projects as needed
