    Description

    Development Operations Coordinator

    About Mercado Global

Mercado Global is a nonprofit organization that connects sustainable and ethical fashion with the financial independence of rural women artisan entrepreneurs. Through partnerships with brands including Levi Strauss, Stitch Fix, Stuart Weitzman, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale's, we help Indigenous women artisans in Latin America earn critical income, keep their children in school, and take on leadership roles in their communities. Since our founding, we have generated nearly $10 million in sales for artisan partners and supported more than 2,000 women entrepreneurs.

    Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, the Development Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing logistics, data systems, and development operations for the Fundraising Department at Mercado Global. Mercado Global seeks a Development Operations Coordinator who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to help expand a cutting-edge model for fighting poverty and empowering women in rural Central America. They should have strong self-initiative, excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, comfort with systems and data, and a passion for our mission and work.

This position provides fundraising enthusiasts with the opportunity to work with our network of donors, our talented team in Guatemala and NYC, and the Indigenous women we serve.
