    Description

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on marketing professional (not an agency) who can take ownership of our marketing and communications systems and actively move them forward.

This is not a role for someone who simply executes isolated tasks based on detailed instructions. We are looking for someone who can understand the bigger picture, identify what is missing, set priorities, create a system out of existing technologies, propose solutions, and make sure things actually get implemented and tracked.

You will work across several connected nonprofit and social-impact projects in the assistance dog field, including:

    • Assistance Dog Foundation
    • DogMap
    • Pfotenpiloten

Our work is international, mission-driven, and growing. We already use a range of tools, platforms, campaigns, websites, databases and automation systems. What we need now is someone who can bring these pieces together into a coherent, measurable marketing and communication system.

    What we are looking for

We need someone with strong experience in both marketing strategy and marketing operations.

You should be comfortable thinking about:

    • marketing and communication strategy
    • target groups, positioning and messaging
    • funnels and user journeys
    • lead generation and conversion
    • email and follow-up campaigns
    • CRM and segmentation
    • tracking and attribution
    • campaign reporting and dashboards
    • automation between systems
    • landing pages and entry points
    • SEO and content distribution
    • partnership and outreach campaigns
    • improving conversion from existing traffic and contacts

You do not need to personally implement every technical element.

However, you should understand the technical side well enough to:

    • recognise what is technically possible
    • design sensible workflows
    • identify gaps and weaknesses
    • evaluate automation and tracking setups
    • brief developers or technical freelancers clearly
    • check whether implementations are working correctly

Experience with tools such as Make, Salesforce or other CRMs, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, email and LinkedIn automation systems, Google Ad grant, and the appropriate use of AI agents is highly valuable.

    Most important: ownership and initiative

The person we are looking for will not wait for us to provide a list of weekly tasks.

    We want someone who asks:

    • What are we trying to achieve?
    • Where are we losing opportunities?
    • What should we measure?
    • What should be automated?
    • Which campaigns are worth pursuing?
    • What could we do differently?
    • What should we stop doing?
    • What should happen next?

We value experience, engagement, curiosity, independent thinking and initiative more than a long list of marketing buzzwords or degrees.

    First paid deliverable

The first project will be a structured review of our current setup.

    We would like you to:

    1. Envision integrated marketing, tracking and automation systems.
    2. Identify gaps, weaknesses, unnecessary complexity and risks.
    3. Assess whether tracking and reporting are reliable.
    4. Identify missed opportunities in funnels, campaigns and follow-up.
    5. Recommend where automation would save time or improve results.
    6. Propose a practical 90-day roadmap, prioritised by impact, effort and cost.

We do not want a generic, AI generated strategy presentation, but something infused and owned by you. The roadmap should be concrete enough to implement.

    Longer-term role

If we work well together, we are looking for someone who can stay involved and gradually take responsibility for driving marketing and communication forward across the organisations.

    This may include:

    • developing campaigns
    • improving existing funnels
    • setting up new outreach initiatives
    • improving tracking and reporting
    • coordinating implementation
    • managing specialist freelancers where necessary
    • identifying opportunities we are currently missing
    • keeping projects moving without constant supervision

The role could therefore develop into something similar to a fractional Head of Marketing / Marketing & Automation Lead.

    About us

You will work with nonprofit organisations supporting assistance dog teams internationally.

Our work combines social impact, accessibility, technology, education, certification, travel and advocacy.

Your work will have a clear social purpose, but we are also budget-conscious. We therefore value people who can distinguish between what is important and what is merely “nice to have”.

We prefer lean, intelligent solutions that make good use of the systems and resources we already have.

    Please include in your application

    Please tell us:

    • about 2–3 comparable projects where you improved a marketing, tracking or automation system
    • what you personally changed or introduced
    • what results this produced
    • your preferred marketing / automation / analytics tool stack
    • how you ensure tracking quality and data reliability
    • what you would look at first when auditing our current setup
    • an example of a situation where you identified and solved a problem without being asked
    • your hourly rate
    • your weekly availability

Please do not send a generic agency-style introduction.

We are particularly interested in hearing how you think, how you prioritise and how you take ownership.

    Benefits

Depending on setup, a benchmark bonus may be an option.
