    Description

    National Council of Jewish Women New York (NCJW NY) seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented team player to serve as a temporary, part-time Administrative Assistant. This employee will provide vital assistance to the Finance and Development Department during the critical year-end fundraising season.

    Specific duties will include*:

    Development & Fundraising:

    • Process all donations, including paper checks and online donations
    • Generate acknowledgement letters for Executive Director’s review and signature
    • Assist in managing donor database (DonorPerfect), including pulling lists, running reports, and cleaning up data.
    • Responding to donor inquiries and other basic donor correspondence

    Finance & Operations:

    • Quickbooks entries
    • Bank deposits
    • Office management duties, such as maintaining office supplies, etc.

    Executive Support:

    • Scheduling meetings for Executive Director and other senior staff
    • Supporting Board meetings, including scheduling, set-up, etc.
    • Other tasks as assigned.

    This position requires flexibility and adaptability to support the NCJW NY senior staff team and Board as needed.

    Schedule and compensation:

    Hours: 15 hours per week, exact schedule TBD

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    Commitment to the mission of NCJW NY

    Minimum 3 years’ work experience in an office environment, preferably in the NYC nonprofit space

    Experience with fundraising and finance software databases and platforms highly preferred

    Quick learner, flexible, adaptable, proactive self-starter
