    Description

A Volunteer Community Coordinator at Samaritan’s Feet plays a vital role in building, supporting, and sustaining a diverse and mission‑driven volunteer community that advances the organization’s calling to share hope, dignity, and the love of Christ through the gift of shoes. This role serves as a bridge between the mission and the people who bring it to life—mobilizing individuals, groups, churches, and partners to serve with purpose and compassion.

The Coordinator is responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with volunteers, ensuring they feel welcomed, equipped, and valued as essential partners in delivering life‑changing impact. Through thoughtful recruitment, onboarding, training, and care, the Coordinator helps volunteers understand not only what we do, but why we do it—connecting acts of service to Samaritan’s Feet’s faith‑rooted mission of restoring dignity and inspiring hope.

In addition to volunteer engagement, the Volunteer Community Coordinator supports the long‑term sustainability of the mission by encouraging deeper levels of involvement, advocacy, and generosity. By inviting volunteers into ongoing service, peer‑to‑peer fundraising, and initiatives such as the 1,000 Samaritans, the Coordinator helps grow a community that is committed to walking alongside families and children—both physically and spiritually.

Serving as a visible representative of Samaritan’s Feet in the community, the Coordinator attends outreach and networking opportunities, builds partnerships, and identifies new avenues to expand the organization’s reach. In all interactions, this role reflects a servant‑leader posture, modeling humility, integrity, and Christ‑centered love while helping volunteers and supporters see their role in transforming lives—one pair of shoes, one relationship, and one step of faith at a time.
