Lead Accountant, Part-Time
Arlington, VA (Hybrid)
3 Days per Week
$80,000 to $85,000 annually
A high-impact accounting role with real ownership and a schedule that respects your life
If you’re an experienced accountant who knows how to run the numbers, close the books, and keep things clean without constant oversight, this role gives you the space to do that work at a high level, without the demands of a full-time schedule.
At the Air & Space Forces Aid Society, your work directly supports Airmen, Guardians, and their families. This is not abstract accounting. Every report, reconciliation, and audit you touch connects back to real people navigating real challenges.
When military families faced financial uncertainty during the recent government shutdown, when a typhoon impacted Guam, and when tornadoes affected communities in Oklahoma, we stepped in with immediate support. That is the work behind the numbers.
As the official charity of the United States Air Force and Space Force, we have served military families since 1942, providing emergency financial assistance, education support, and community programs grounded in trust and accountability. Our reach extends across more than 70 Air Force and Space Force installations nationwide.
This role is designed for someone who wants to stay sharp, stay relevant, and stay impactful, without working five days a week.
This is a part-time role by design, not a stepping stone. We are looking for someone who wants to take full ownership of the work and stay in that rhythm, rather than someone planning to transition into a full-time role in the near term.
