Position Title: Sexual Assault Services Coordinator

Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), 40 hours/week

Compensation: $70,000 annually, plus benefits (paid vacation, sick leave, and health insurance)

Location: Seattle, WA (semi-confidential location); Hybrid, in person 3 days a week, some travel throughout King County required

About Multi Communities

Multi Communities is a Seattle-based nonprofit with over 30 years of experience serving Black survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Our mission is to end domestic and gender-based violence against Black women and girls by engaging Black communities — including Black men and boys — in healing and prevention. We provide culturally-specific, community-led services including case management, crisis support, emergency aid, and community education. We serve approximately 4,500 people annually and are led by a 100% Black leadership team.

Position Overview

Multi Communities is seeking a compassionate and skilled Sexual Assault Services Coordinator to provide direct advocacy and case management to survivors of sexual assault. This role is central to our direct services work: you will answer our survivor helpline, conduct crisis intervention, and deliver long-term, individualized support to clients navigating complex systems and circumstances.

The ideal candidate brings a survivor-centered, strengths-based approach to their work, understands how sexual violence intersects with race, gender, and systemic inequity, and is committed to providing wraparound care rooted in cultural humility. This position requires flexibility, strong relational skills, and a deep commitment to the healing of Black survivors and our broader community.

The person in this role will provide mobile, flexible advocacy, meeting survivors where they are — in the community, at home, or across systems like housing, legal, and medical — rather than providing solely office-based services. You will work one-on-one with survivors over the mid- to long-term, letting them lead the process and set their own goals while you connect them to resources, navigate systems on their behalf, and access flexible funds to address real-life barriers like rent, transportation, and childcare.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Direct Services & Advocacy

• Answer the survivor helpline and provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive support to survivors, their loved ones, and service providers
• Conduct initial screening and intake assessments to determine program eligibility and develop safety and service plans
• Deliver ongoing, individualized case management — including client accompaniment, referrals to health, mental health, legal, employment, and education services, and advocacy-based counseling
• Assess needs and distribute emergency funds and resources to clients
• Organize and co-facilitate survivor gatherings and support groups
• Accompany clients to appointments, court hearings, and other engagements as needed

Community & Partner Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with community partners to identify survivors and increase referrals
• Collaborate with governmental and nongovernmental partners while protecting client confidentiality and rights
• Advocate for high-quality, culturally and linguistically appropriate, trauma-informed services from external providers
• Conduct outreach through social media, faith communities, and community partnerships about sexual assault dynamics and survivor support; lead occasional trainings

Administration & Team

• Maintain accurate case records, databases, and statistics; prepare monthly reports and contribute to grant reporting
• Participate in regular supervision and staff meetings
• Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers and interns
• Contribute to our collaborative, small-team environment and take on other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Genuine alignment with Multi Communities' mission, vision, and values, with a commitment to integrating those values into daily work
• Understanding of how gender-based violence, sexual assault, and systemic oppression intersect within Black and other communities of color
• At least two years of experience in sexual assault crisis intervention and case management, including facilitating survivor support groups
• Knowledge of the specific barriers faced by survivors of color — including racism and economic inequity — and experience using empowerment-based approaches to support healing
• Experience and comfort working with people across diverse backgrounds, gender identities, and sexualities
• Strong interpersonal skills including empathy, active listening, and trauma-informed communication
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple cases and responsibilities simultaneously
• Strong critical thinking skills; a practical, problem-solving approach to complex situations
• Proactive in seeking support from colleagues and supervisors when challenges arise
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with current office software and tools
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the greater King County region
• Core hours of 9-5 Monday-Friday. Requires availability for occasional flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
• Eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advocacy-based counseling or other empowerment-based models
• Familiarity with local, regional, and state laws, organizations, coalitions, and policies related to gender-based violence
• Experience working with law enforcement, DSHS, and other government agencies
• Experience with public speaking on sexual assault, gender-based violence, or related topics; enthusiasm for continued learning in these areas
• Demonstrated commitment to ending sexual violence in community settings
