    POSITION SUMMARY

    Do you take pride in clean, functional spaces? Are you the kind of person who notices when the hallway needs sweeping, the bathroom’s low on supplies, or the light bulb’s about to go? We’re looking for a part-time Facilities Assistant to help care for the buildings that make up the Watershed/Equinox universe—spaces that support hundreds of artists, makers, and creative entrepreneurs. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and invested in the well-being of shared community space. You’ll be responsible for keeping bathrooms clean, halls tidy, supplies stocked, indoor and outdoor common areas clean and welcoming.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Clean and sanitize approx. 20 bathrooms across multiple Watershed/Equinox
    • properties
    • Sweep and clean hallways and pick up outdoor trash weekly in multiple locations
    • Mowing lawns, weeding, general landscaping and groundskeeping
    • Remove trash from buildings and transport to dumpsters as needed
    • Track and maintain an accurate cleaning supply inventory; work with Facilities
    • Manager to place orders to restock supplies
    • Keep supply closets neat and organized
    • ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Event support, including occasional after hours and weekend help
    • Complete special projects as time allows (e.g., pressure washing, changing light bulbs,
    • small repairs)
    • Support the Property Management team as directed for maintenance and construction
    • projects

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in custodial, groundskeeping, janitorial, or facilities support work.
    • Ability to operate outdoor power equipment including lawn mowers, weed trimmers,
    • etc. or a willingness to learn.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy and/or cumbersome items and move throughout multi
    • floor buildings safely with or without reasonable accommodations
    • Independent, reliable, and detail-oriented
    • Ability to manage routine tasks while staying responsive to shifting priorities
    • Clear communicator who respects private and shared community space with diverse
    • tenants
    • Perform all duties in a safe, compliant, and professional manner in accordance with
    • OSHA regulations and organizational safety policies
    • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
    • Flexible schedule availability for weekday, weekend or occasional evening shifts

    COMPENSATION AND TERMS

    This is a part-time, benefits eligible position (20 hours minimum per week) based in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, WA. The role is fully on-site, with some flexibility in scheduling. It is non-exempt and eligible for overtime, with compensation ranging from $22 to $28 per hour, depending on experience. Cleaning supplies and equipment will be provided.     Watershed Community Development is a community-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that operates Equinox Studios, a complex of over 170 artist and artisan workspaces. Watershed is preparing to build over 600 units of workforce housing and community space along 4th Avenue S. in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle.
