Hinenu Baltimore seeks a full-time (40 hrs/wk) Synagogue Life Coordinator
to help our synagogue retain, nurture and grow its 300-person
membership. NOTE: This position is on-site at our office in the Johns
Hopkins Homewood campus area of Baltimore.
The Coordinator will do this by:
Shabbat services;
and online/hybrid events;
channels (including our calendar, biweekly email newsletter, and
social media accounts).
The Synagogue Life Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director
(ED). The work of the Synagogue Life Coordinator supports the work of the
Executive Director and Hinenu Baltimore’s rabbi, who are accountable for
building the religious life of the congregation and maintaining the financial
and operational health of the organization.
Hinenu Baltimore is a growing community in Baltimore of Jews and their loved
ones who study, pray, organize, and care for one another. The Synagogue Life
Coordinator helps Hinenu Baltimore as an organization to uphold and live by

“Front of House” Responsibilities:
weekly Shabbat services by (25%):

Shabbat services fall on a Saturday, this position will be off one
additional (consistent) day during the week to ensure 2 days off per
