    Position Overview

    The Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing IMPACT’s mission by managing our communications and development efforts. This position involves creating and implementing strategies to enhance our presence across various media platforms, fostering community engagement, and supporting the organization's fundraising initiatives. The Associate will work closely with the Co-Executive Directors and other staff to ensure effective communication of our activities and needs, as well as to secure and manage funding opportunities that drive our mission forward.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with program staff to compile information and complete monthly reports for county contracts, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Serve as primary liaison with contract monitors regarding contract performance, reporting and renewal requirements.
    • Collaborate in the preparation and submission of proposals and reports for foundation grants, including midyear and annual reports.
    • Analyze individual donor trends and data using CiviCRM; implement donor stewardship strategies, including oversight of timely acknowledgment processes
    • Identify opportunities for donor engagement and collaborate with appropriate staff to implement engagement strategies.
    • Assist the Co-Executive Directors in developing and implementing the overall development strategy.
    • Identify funding opportunities that align with and advance our goals, mission, and vision, while building and maintaining strong donor relationships.

    Qualifications:

    • Five or more years experience in nonprofit development and/or fundraising, including writing and reporting on grants.
    • Experience utilizing a CRM system, including producing reports and maintaining donor data..
    • Familiarity with nonprofit revenue streams (including government, foundation, individual, corporate funding) and operational considerations inherent in each.
    • Knowledge and ability to apply fundraising best practices in a nonprofit environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Passion for the mission of IMPACT Silver Spring and a commitment to building a more just and equitable Montgomery County.

    Salary and Benefits

    This is a full-time position. We believe in fostering a supportive work environment that values both in-office collaboration and the benefits of remote work. We provide a flexible work environment that allows for a mix of in-office (2-3 times per week) and remote work. The balance may vary based on organizational needs, but attendance at in-person staff meetings, team collaboration days, and other designated events is essential for team alignment and engagement.. The salary for this position is $70,000.
