About Earl Young’s Team
Earl Young’s Team, is a Dallas based organization founded in 2015, is dedicated to raising awareness for and registering blood stem cell/bone marrow donors to provide second chances at life for patients battling blood cancers (like leukemia and lymphoma) and blood disorders (like aplastic anemia and sickle cell disease). Our founder, Earl Young, is an Olympic gold medalist alive today because a total stranger donated blood stem cells, giving him a second chance at life. Because young donors (those between the ages of 18-26) provide the best patient outcomes, our work is focused on awareness initiatives and swab drives on college and university campuses. To date, we have added over 40,000 people to the donor pool, resulting in over 170 second chances at life.
