The Kailee Mills Foundation is dedicated to saving lives and protecting families by increasing seat belt use through education, awareness, and support.
We are seeking a Development & Volunteer Coordinator (Part-Time) to support our fundraising efforts while leading volunteer coordination for programs, events, and outreach initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a meaningful impact in their community.
What You’ll Do
Volunteer Coordination & Management
- Recruit, onboard, and coordinate volunteers for programs, events, and outreach initiatives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, ensuring a positive and organized experience
- Schedule and communicate volunteer assignments, shifts, and expectations
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and track engagement and participation
- Support volunteer recognition and appreciation efforts
- Assist in building and growing a strong, reliable volunteer base
Donor & Sponsorship Support
- Assist with donor tracking, acknowledgments, and stewardship activities
- Support communication with donors, sponsors, and partners
- Maintain accurate donor records in the Foundation’s CRM
Grants & Administrative Support
- Assist with gathering materials for grant applications and reports
- Track deadlines and support grant documentation
- Maintain organized records of funding opportunities and submissions
Events & Campaign Support
- Support coordination of fundraising events and campaigns, including volunteer staffing and logistics
- Assist with sponsor fulfillment and event logistics
- Help prepare materials for donor and community engagement
Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate tracking of donations, sponsorships, and partnerships
- Support reporting needs for development and leadership
- Assist with data entry and system organization
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Development team to support fundraising initiatives
- Collaborate with Programs staff to align messaging and impact reporting
- Assist with general administrative and coordination needs related to development efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field preferred
- 1–2 years of administrative, nonprofit, or fundraising support experience preferred
- Experience working with or coordinating volunteers preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and CRM systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines within a part-time schedule
- Ability to attend and support Kailee Mills Foundation events, including evenings and weekends as required (e.g., gala, fundraising events, and community outreach)
- Must model safe driving behaviors, including consistently wearing a seat belt and supporting the Foundation’s mission of seat belt safety

Success in this role means providing strong support to fundraising efforts, ensuring donors and partners have a positive experience, and helping maintain organized and accurate systems.
Within the first year, the Development Coordinator will:
- Build and maintain a reliable, engaged volunteer base to support programs, events, and outreach efforts
- Ensure timely and accurate donor acknowledgments and communications
- Maintain clean and up-to-date donor and grant records
- Support successful execution of fundraising events and campaigns
- Help strengthen internal systems that support sustainable fundraising growth
