AIUSA’s Movement Building and Member Engagement Department (MBME) brings together grassroots members, activists, and leaders, and incorporates technology through distributed leadership to create lasting change. Movement building is the key for sustainable change for the human rights movement, and AIUSA seeks leaders who can activate and collaborate with grassroots leaders who can play their part to create lasting change. Shared leadership is the process by which AIUSA volunteer leaders and staff together guide AIUSA. Our shared leadership guidelines encompass core principles, values, accountability, and communication, along with core principles that serve as the foundation to support AIUSA’s human rights work.

The Manager, Regional Mobilization (“Manager”) - South (2 Year Fixed Term) implements AIUSA's grassroots mobilization, activism, and movement building strategy in a regional perspective across our 5 member types (local groups, student groups, task forces, member leaders, and digital activists) advancing a unified movement strategy aligned with AIUSA's strategic priorities, and in support of an international human rights movement. The South region encompasses Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee.
