    ABOUT THE POSITION

    The Administrative and Events Assistant is responsible for assisting with the organization's general office operations and special events. This full-time position provides some flexibility with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Adhere to the mission of the organization
    • Assist in administrative tasks related to operations
    • Assist at special events and occasional weekend programs, Saturdays or Sundays, particularly in our 3 major events: Annual Gala, Foster Youth Summit, and Christmas Event
    • Answer incoming phone calls and inquiries
    • Direct outside calls and inquiries to the appropriate staff members
    • Manage, maintain, and clean foster parent and donor database records.
    • Complete weekly and monthly donation recognition tasks
    • Prepare packages and mailers to constituents
    • Provide recurring reports on events and programs
    • Ensure office supplies are at appropriate levels
    • Submit training materials for accreditation approval
    • Identify trainers for monthly trainings and secure their participation
    • Supervise monthly training and peer support groups
    • Manage incoming inquiries from the general email account and phone
    • Communicate and schedule vendors for building functions
    • Light office management
    • Ensure that all organizational and shared documents are uploaded and maintained to the FAPAC Shared Drive
    • Complete other tasks as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Pass a background check
    • Active driver's license
    • Database maintenance and strong computer skills
    • Previous office work experience
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    • Tech-savvy
    • Quick learner and motivated problem solver
