    Description

    Sisu Living House is a transitional and sober living program for women and women with children navigating life transitions, including recovery, re-entry, and rebuilding after hardship.

    We provide more than housing. We provide a structured, supportive environment where women gain life management skills, accountability, and the tools needed to move toward independence and long-term stability.

    Position Summary

    The House Manager plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations and culture of Sisu Living House. This is a live-in leadership role, designed for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and able to model structure, accountability, and healthy living within a shared home environment.

    The House Manager supports the home while working collaboratively with leadership and maintaining clear boundaries as both a participant in the environment and a support role within it.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support day-to-day operations of the home and help maintain a safe, clean, and structured living environment
    • Reinforce house guidelines, routines, and shared living expectations
    • Provide peer-level support and model accountability, emotional regulation, and respectful communication
    • Assist with onboarding new women and helping them acclimate to the home
    • Monitor shared spaces and support completion of chores and community responsibilities
    • Communicate any concerns, incidents, or needs to leadership in a timely and professional manner
    • Maintain basic documentation and communication as required
    • Support coordination of house meetings, reminders, and general communication within the home
    • Assist with light administrative or operational tasks as assigned (within the 20-hour scope)

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to maintain clear boundaries in a shared living environment
    • Demonstrated reliability, consistency, and emotional maturity
    • Comfortable with structure, accountability, and program-based living
    • Willingness to live on-site and participate in the shared home environment
    • Demonstrated stability in personal recovery (3+ years required; 5+ years preferred)

    Additional Requirements

    • Must be able to reside on-site (this is a live-in position)
    • Reliable personal transportation
    • Ability to pass a background check (*not on an offender registry) and drug screening

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in residential living, recovery, behavioral health, or social services
    • Experience working with women or vulnerable populations
    • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and/or recovery-oriented environments

    Important Role Clarification

    This role is a hybrid position within a program-based living environment. The House Manager is expected to:

    • Participate in and respect the structure of the home
    • Maintain professionalism while living in a shared space
    • Understand that this is both a housing opportunity and a leadership role, not traditional employment or only housing
