Sisu Living House

Sisu Living House provides a safe and secure shared living environment for women and women with children facing a variety of transitional housing needs—whether exiting domestic violence, the justice system, substance use recovery, or homelessness.

We offer more than housing. Through structured support, accountability, and evidence-based resources, we help women stabilize, heal, and rebuild their lives. Our program focuses on life management skills, emotional wellness, and personal growth so that each woman can move forward with confidence and independence.

Sisu Living House was created from both professional experience and lived understanding of the challenges women face when navigating major life transitions.

Through years of working in healthcare, social services, and community-based settings, our leadership saw firsthand the barriers women encounter when trying to secure safe, supportive housing, especially when children are involved. Too often, women are placed in environments that meet basic needs but lack the structure, accountability, and emotional support required for long-term stability.

Sisu Living House was built to be different.

We are a program-based shared living environment where women are not just given a place to stay, they are supported in learning how to rebuild their lives. Our approach combines structure, personal accountability, and practical life management skills with a focus on emotional wellness and healing.

Women in our program are working through real-life challenges such as:

• Establishing identification and accessing community resources
• Securing employment and building financial stability
• Navigating past trauma and learning how to manage triggers
• Developing healthy routines, boundaries, and relationships

Our home operates on shared responsibility, mutual respect, and a commitment to growth. We believe in meeting women where they are, while also holding a clear standard for where they are going.
