China Institute of America is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Part-Time Marketing Coordinator / Content Creator to support our marketing and communications efforts. This role is ideal for someone with strong visual storytelling skills, social media experience, and a passion for arts, culture, education, and cross-cultural exchange.
The Part-Time Marketing Coordinator / Content Creator will assist in developing digital content across China Institute’s social media, website, email, and promotional channels. The ideal candidate is skilled in video editing, especially short-form content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and WeChat/RED-style social content. Experience in graphic design, motion graphics, animation, and bilingual English/Chinese communications is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and edit short-form videos for social media (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
- Design graphics and marketing materials for digital and print platforms.
- Produce simple motion graphics and animations to support campaigns.
- Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, and event coverage.
- Adapt content for English and Chinese audiences when needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on creative projects and promotional campaigns.
Qualifications
- Experience editing short-form social media videos.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut).
- Experience with motion graphics or animation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of social media trends and content creation.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in Chinese culture, arts, education, nonprofit communications, or cultural exchange is a plus.
- Must be available at least three days per week.
- Must have valid U.S. work authorization.
