    Description

    About

The Democratic Party of Illinois (DPI) is hiring an Impact Manager for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign. This is a historic election cycle, with the Governorship, U.S. Senate, and 17 Congressional seats at stake, along with the State Senate, State House, and critical county and local-level races across the state. DPI is building a first-of-its-kind coordinated effort to meet this challenge and win competitive races up and down the ballot.

The Impact Manager is a critical member of the impact leadership team, and will help implement the statewide impact program to mobilize constituency groups, validators, trusted messengers, and community partners in support of Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Chicago, Illinois.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Help facilitate the statewide impact strategy to mobilize target constituencies, coalition partners, trusted messengers, and validators—including faith leaders and small business owners—in support of the coordinated campaign
    • Engage with constituents and community validators across the state, building and participating in events to increase voter engagement and volunteer recruitment
    • Collaborate closely with the organizing team to align impact program strategy with organizing goals
    • Generate digital and social media content that aligns with coordinated goals and initiatives
    • Cultivate and leverage relationships with candidates, coalition partners, and local leaders to strengthen Democratic support and credibility in target communities
    • Represent DPI in coalition spaces, partner meetings, and political events across the state

    Required Qualifications

    • At least 2 cycles of organizing or political experience
    • Deep ties to Illinois communities and local leaders, particularly in the Chicago area
    • Fluency in VAN and other organizing tools and platforms
    • Proficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Demonstrated capacity to synthesize, track, and report data
    • Proven commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture
    • Must have a cell phone, reliable laptop, valid driver’s license, and vehicle

The salary for this position is $6,000 per month. The position concludes on November 15, 2026. This role requires working long and irregular campaign hours, including nights and weekends, and travel throughout the state. The position includes a full benefits package, with health, vision, and dental insurance. Additional benefits include PTO, paid parental leave, and paid sick leave.
