    Description

    Jury Democracy USA is seeking a Director of Development to lead its fundraising efforts and support the organization’s growth.

    This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, managing donor relationships, and building the systems necessary to sustain long-term revenue.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy across major donors, grassroots fundraising, and digital channels
      • Build and manage a donor pipeline, including prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship
      • Establish and maintain systems for tracking donor activity, revenue, and performance
      • Prepare donor materials, including briefing documents and fundraising decks
      • Design and manage mail, email, digital, and online fundraising campaigns
      • Identify and pursue additional funding opportunities, including partnerships and institutional support
      • Ensure compliance with applicable 501(c)(4) fundraising regulations

    Qualifications

      • 3–7+ years of experience in fundraising, political finance, or nonprofit development
      • Demonstrated success raising funds through major donor programs, grassroots efforts, or both
      • Experience managing donor pipelines and fundraising systems (CRM, tracking, reporting)
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Highly organized and able to work independently in a developing organizational environment

    Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience with 501(c)(4) organizations, advocacy groups, or political campaigns
      • Familiarity with tools such as NGP VAN, ActBlue, or similar platforms and more importantly with non-partisan platforms.
      • Experience with grant writing or institutional fundraising

    Compensation

    Competitive and commensurate with experience and with bonuses for performance. Structure (salary or contract) will be determined based on candidate fit.
