    Description

The New England Yearly Meeting of Friends is seeking an Operations Assistant (formerly Office Manager) to join our staff on a part-time basis. This role is the virtual front desk for the Yearly Meeting. In this role you will be the first contact for many Friends and help answer and direct inquiries as appropriate. You will also run the onsite office during our annual gathering in early August each year. Much of this role is virtual but there are regularly scheduled office days in our Worcester office.

A successful candidate will have the ability to work independently when needed and collaborate on larger projects with the Operations Director. The ability to communicate clearly and a willingness to ask questions will be a critical part of growing into this role. The Operations Assistant should also be able to handle routine tasks and inquiries independently while also consulting other staff as needed. This role requires experience with word processing and database tools as well as general computer literacy. Ideal candidates would also have some experience with document layout in the Adobe Suite.
