    We, the Hope Foundation, are offering a unique opportunity to join our team as a Trainee in our Global Education Project Bridging Cultures- Embracing Diversity, Empowering Equality. This traineeship is designed for individuals who are passionate about education, cultural exchange and making a positive impact on a global scale. The Hope Foundation, a Cameroonian-German non-profit organization, is working in education, sport and health.

    How to apply:

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs for students in Berlin.
      • Collaborate with team members to create engaging and interactive learning materials.
      • Support the coordination of projects.
      • Contribute to the promotion of cross-cultural understanding and communication.
      • Participate in meetings to enhance professional skills.

    Qualifications:

      • Applicants must be from outside of Europe, from Asia, Africa or Latin America
      • Enthusiasm for learning and a strong interest in global education.
      • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
      • Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges.
      • Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus).

    Vacancy & Timeframes:

    From the 28th of September to the 20th of December

    Project Title: Bridging Cultures- Embracing Diversity, Empowering Equality

    About the project:

    In this project, trainers from Global South will teach in English, engaging learners in discussions develop solutions for the challenges their continents and countries face.

    Additionally, learners will brainstorm innovative ideas for projects and events to raise awareness in Germany.

    The trainer is responsible for planning and organizing a minimum of five workshops (one- or two-day sessions) tailored for students aged 16-20. Additionally, there are two supplementary events to organize by you: 'Spoons4Change,' a cooking workshop, and another event with a concept yet to be finalized, such as a film evening. Other duties encompass public relations efforts, workshop evaluations, and the development of teaching materials.

    This year, all workshops and programmes across the participating schools will focus on the overarching theme of Gender Equality and Gender Equity.

    Trainers are invited to design and lead workshops that explore one of the following focus areas within this thematic framework:

      • Global Partnerships
      • Indigenous Cultures
      • Tourism

    Target group of the project:

      • Learners between 16 and 20 years old from secondary schools in Berlin (school workshop)
      • Adults, open public in Berlin (Spoons4Change and additional event)

    Working hours:

    20 hours per week

    Compensation:

    1200€ / month (total 3600€)
