    About Eglevsky Ballet

    For more than 65 years, Eglevsky Ballet has inspired and enriched lives through exceptional ballet training and professional performance. We are a vibrant nonprofit organization serving students ages 3 through adult while presenting professional productions and community programs throughout Long Island.

    We are in a period of growth and are seeking a warm, organized, and service-oriented professional to serve as the first point of contact for our students, families, faculty, and visitors.

    Position Summary

    The Student & Studio Services Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the front office and plays a key role in creating an exceptional experience for students and families from initial inquiry through registration and ongoing participation.

    This position manages reception, student registration, customer service, and general studio operations while providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Artistic Director.

    The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Reception & Customer Service

    • Welcome students, families, and visitors
    • Answer phones and respond promptly to emails
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and current families
    • Provide excellent customer service and resolve routine questions
    • Maintain a welcoming, professional front office

    Registration & Student Services

    • Process student registrations and enrollments using Studio Director
    • Assist families with account setup, payments, schedules, and forms
    • Maintain accurate student records
    • Monitor class enrollment and waitlists
    • Assist with placement class scheduling and new student onboarding
    • Support tuition collection and payment inquiries

    Studio Operations

    • Ensure studios, dressing rooms, lobby, and reception areas remain organized and welcoming
    • Coordinate studio schedules and room usage
    • Prepare class rosters and assist with attendance reports
    • Order office and studio supplies
    • Assist with recital and performance preparations
    • Coordinate basic administrative projects as assigned

    Administrative Support

    • Support communications with students and families
    • Assist with mailings and data entry
    • Maintain electronic and paper files
    • Prepare reports and spreadsheets
    • Support special events and performances as needed

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 1–2 years of experience in reception, customer service, school administration, or a similar role
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

    Schedule

    • Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week
    • Primarily afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends during performances and special events. Preferred schedule September-May is 4 weekdays from 1pm-8:30pm; summer hours vary.

    Level of Language Proficiency
