  • Mission

The mission of the Global Village Museum is to present exhibits of art and objects from diverse world cultures and to offer community events and educational programs to build mutual understanding and greater cultural competence.

    About Us

Beginning in June 2006, members of the community wanted a place to engage and inspire visitors to learn more about world cultures, people, art, and history in order to promote world understanding and foster peace. The Global Village Museum was created and opened its first facility in March 2010.

In April of 2011 the Museum relocated to our current location, with four gallery spaces: Main Gallery, Mundoville Gallery, Village Arts Gallery, and Hall Gallery. Each gallery features exhibits with international topics, the Main and Hall Galleries showcase temporary, community curated exhibits which change very 3 months. The Mundoville and Village Arts Galleries are permanent exhibits of international miniatures, folk art, fine art, and musical instruments.

GVM collaborates with community members and organizations to create interesting and unique Main Gallery exhibits on international topics. GVM hosts four programs a month that relate to our current exhibit topics and other international events.
