Mission
Our mission is to empower the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard-of-Hearing (DDBHH) community
by providing comprehensive services that promote equal access in every aspect of their lives.
About Us
The Betty and Leonard Phillips Deaf Action Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals through communication access, advocacy, education, and community-based services.
Since 1982, we have worked to remove communication barriers and promote independence, equal access, and full participation in the community. Our services include American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting, regional support services, advocacy, education and training, professional development, and community outreach.
Our team works closely with individuals, families, businesses, schools, healthcare providers, government agencies, and other community partners to improve accessibility and ensure effective communication.
We are a small, mission-driven organization where every staff member plays an important role. We value professionalism, dependability, teamwork, respect, confidentiality, and a genuine commitment to serving the Deaf community.
