Affordable Housing, Education and Development (AHEAD), Inc

We create pathways to safe, affordable housing and work to strengthen and revitalize rural communities.

AHEAD, Inc. is a non-profit affordable housing and community development organization located in northern New Hampshire. We serve New Hampshire's rural North Country through real estate development, homeownership and financial counseling, and property management. We manage over 500 affordable apartments and assist with the staffing of the New Hampshire Rural Community Land Trust which was formed in early 2026. AHEAD serves as a central partner for many programs and projects in the North Country and works closely with many of the regions stakeholders.
