About Us

The Whitesbog Preservation Trust is a non-profit organization created in 1982 by a group of New Jersey citizens to preserve Whitesbog, formerly a working blueberry and cranberry plantation, and birthplace of the cultivated high bush blueberry. The Trust leases Whitesbog from the State of New Jersey in an innovative partnership agreement.
The mission of the Whitesbog Preservation Trust is to restore, protect and enhance historic Whitesbog Village, and to preserve and interpret the White family legacy, inspiring audiences of all ages to experience:  The origins and innovations of cranberry and blueberry cultivation, and the rich culture and unique ecology of the New Jersey Pine Barrens.
