About Us

The purpose of the Youth Empowerment, Education and Resources (YEER) Program is to instill self-respect, self-worth, and professionalism in high school students of Metro-Detroit. This organization shall be to encourage high school students to invest in themselves and give back to their communities.

The objectives of this organization are as follows:

  • to provide STD/HIV prevention in order to combat the rising HIV rates in Detroit teenagers
  • to teach communication skills and professional behavior
  • to empower youth with the resources and motivation to invest in themselves and their communities
  • to give back to Metro-Detroit by means of outreach projects and donations
  • to teach youth how to establish and maintain healthy personal and professional relationships
  • to motivate students to maximize the resources they have and how to create new opportunities
  • to encourage youth to seek knowledge and utilize resources available
  • and more
