Mission
Literacy Volunteers Captial Region provides literacy services to adults in Albany, Rensselaer, and Schenectady Counties. We teach people to read, write and speak English; we empower our students to be advocates for themselves; and we educate the larger community about literacy issues
About Us
Literacy Volunteers Captial Region provides free, confidential tutoring to adults, families and out-of-school teens in reading, writing, and conversational English; and recruits and trains volunteers to provide this tutoring.
