Mission
The vision for UrbanFresh Gardens (UFG) is inspired by Matthew 5:13-16. We are salt and light agents of change in the world. Salt enhances the flavor of food and preserves it. We want to make our community better than we found it and maintain the good in our neighborhood. Just as light drives out darkness, we want to bring hope to challenged communities. Our immediate community is Waterbury, but we understand that our reach may extend elsewhere.
