We develop highly innovative educational approaches which enable children and youth to better perform at school, transform violence and foster peace-strong relationships. We strive for this triple impact by building their essential life skills and human values using dialog-based learning and experience-rich learning activities. We train teachers, educators, and parents on how to do so with empowering approaches, firm authority and 0 violence.

Graines de Paix develops proven educational approaches that enable better learning, better teaching, better interactions, and better ways of overcoming violence. It brings together three objectives: student fulfillment, violence prevention and safe, peace-focused societies. Its expertise lies in training teachers, students and youth in methods that develop dialog, collaboration, and a full set of life skills. It emphasizes action over advocacy and collaborates with several Ministries (Education, Social Affairs, Women). Our approach is systemic: a united program enables us to target simultaneously SDGs 3, 4, 5, and 16. Founded over 20 years ago, in 2005 in Geneva, it is active in Switzerland, West Africa, and gradually in France and the MENA region. It is neutral and independent of any political, religious, or sectarian affiliation. Its highly innovative work has been honored with the 2019 Smartpeace Prize (Leaders for Peace Foundation) and the 2022 UNESCO-Hamdan Prize.
