Homework Help & Hoops (HHH) Summer Camp

  • Mission

Homework Help and Hoops (HHH) FREE Summer Camp and Tutoring Program Mission is to provide enriching summer activities and a daily healthy meal to area youth during non-school months, and to assist students with homework who are falling behind or at risk of failing based on state standards during school months. We focus on these areas in support of the overall St. John United Church of Christ’s mission, “To be a church in the heart of the community with the community at heart.”

    About Us

St. John Church hosts an after-school tutoring program during the school year and the Spirit of Sharing (S.O.S.) Soup Kitchen every Thursday. We have combined these two outreaches to form HHH Summer Camp Feeding program for school aged children from 4 to 18 years old to provide a hot, nutrious lunch combined with a Reading Success Center and many engaging activities for students to participate in free of charge.

In the past 13-years, the HHH Summer Camp and Free Lunch program has assisted more than 740 area youth ages 4 to 18.

    The 2026 summer program runs from June 1 - July 23 on Monday-Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
