  • Mission

re:story is an organization that provides an opportunity for survivors of sexual violence to come together and support each other through writing and storytelling

    About Us

re:story is an exploratory writing workshop for survivors of sexual violence. Through a series of workshops, re:story provides a space for survivors of sexual violence to come together and reflect, process, and appreciate the experiences of others through writing and storytelling. Through collaborative use of creative outlets, women-identifying survivors will be able to develop personal resources to maximize their education, health, and wellness. This group will be trauma-sensitive at all times, with a focus on community and safety. Our goal is to empower survivors to re-envision their stories and re-claim their experiences of sexual violence as a mechanism through which to move forward, lead healthy and fulfilling lives, and ultimately advocate for changes that will decrease the prevalence of sexual violence in the future.
